This golf club is ideal for those who'd like to have a decent round of golf and be back in Hong Kong early. In fact, the club is right next to another golf club - Sand River, both are fairly easy to get to & conveniently located within Shenzhen and closed to Shekuo, the taxi ride from Huang Gang would take 20' & 40 RMB & Lu Wu would need about 30 minutes and 60 RMB.

Introduction
This golf club is ideal for those who’d like to have a decent round of golf and be back in Hong Kong early. In fact, the club is right next to another golf club – Sand River, both are fairly easy to get to & conveniently located within Shenzhen and closed to Shekuo, the taxi ride from Huang Gang would take 20′ & 40 RMB & Lu Wu would need about 30 minutes and 60 RMB.
Club Facilities & Service
The club house is quite new with good quality finish, the finishes of the changing room and restaurant, proshop & driving range etc. are decent, the service of the stuff was reasonably good.
Fairway & Green Maintenance
Both fairways & greens were in reasonably good shape this time and the landscaping of the course was quite nice too.The club being in the city, the views is predominately to the surroundings buildings.
Caddy’s Service & Knowledge
My caddy’s service was reasonably good & knowledge of the course was much better than before.
Course Design
The club is built on a fairly flat piece of land with little or no up and downhill, most fairways are connected with little out of bound boundary, in addition to its rather short distance of 5,968 yards and generous fairways, apart from a couple of more difficult par 3s, this is surely the easiest course I have played.Beginners may find this course very user friendly but the longer hitters and low handicappers may find this lack of good challenges.

The tee shot needs to carry a small lake in front of the tee , try to aim to the left or right of the big tree in the middle of the fairway. The blue arrow indicate where the green is.

A dogleg left, the 2 & rd will be straight forward.

A nice & straight fairway with lots of room.

A gentle dogleg left, fairway is short, a simple hole.

A big dogleg to the right, long hitter can take aim of the blue arrow to cut short…otherwise, take a safe route to the lefta bit, the 2nd will have a big tree in the middle, take it to the right a bit for a better angle to the green.

The longest par 3, needs a good approach to land the ball on the green.

A nice looking but can be very nasty island par 3, the small green is elevated with water all round. Be careful….this is the most dangerous hole on the course.

A long dogleg left, the 2 bunkers are reachable, select the right club to avoid them or overshot the fairway on the right side

A gentle dogleg to the right, need to have a good drive as the trees either side of the fairway can be a problem.

Quite a simple par 5 but with an index of 1…?!
This is a dogleg left, aim slightly to right of the bunker will set you up to a straight forward approach.

A nice & staright par 4.

A gentle dogelg left.

A short par 3, need to carry some water just slightly in front of the teebox, a green side bunker is on the right.

One of the tougher par 3, need to carry water all the way to the green.

Used to a drivable par 4, now they added water just in front of the green…..take a drive to the right of the green & a chip is the best option as lay up will leave you a difficult lob shot.

Par 5, a good driving hole, the 2nd will need to lay up in front of the water, the 3rd will be a mid-iron to the green.
007’s Rating
The club is nice, location is convenient & the course is quite simple & straight forward….even though the club tried to beef up the course by adding few more bunkers & pond few years ago, this is still a relatively easy course, ideal for beginners to learn the tricks of the trade & prefect for mid-handicappers who try to break 90 or even 80.
The course has matured over the years & has a decent surrounding & landscaping 1 & 2 perfect for those who lives in Hong Kong & have a quick & simple round.
