He played with some instability. Some very good stokes. But some unsatisfactory ones too. Resulting in mixed birdies and bogies. However, he seemed to be regaining his confidence and strength in golf.

A “W” is still a “W” and it is what Tiger Woods was looking for and hoping for. Validation – that’s the buzz word all the media-type had been using. Why the change of coach, why the change of caddie, why the change.

Dramatic? I think it was entertaining. He did not dorminate all the 4 rounds but he was the best of the limited field, for the week. World Ranking is a mysterious thing, just look at how many places Woods climbed past!

Great to have him back, and as everybody says…..confidence is always the last thing to come back. He is still a mile away from getting back to his best, but it will be interesting to see what happens next season. Other players are not intimidated anymore as we saw in the last round, but if he wins another tournament early next year, he will probably start as favourite for the masters along with rory…..
