簡介
上次在年中去Dubai講過主要原因係要安排一個打波豪華團在11月終於出發，今次除左跟隊之外亦偷下雞…..打左幾個場同住左間超靚酒店Mina A’ Salam(1, 2, 3, 4, 5)。今次亦可以補打Emirates另一個場-Wadi course因為上次正在翻新，由Nick Faldo設計及06年10剛完成。
球場及果嶺保養
由於打波時球場剛重開，所以球道同果嶺保養都只有80分左右，相信要多2-3個月先有高水平。
球僮知識及服務
Emirates只有小量球僮供應(請早預訂，另外個個穿哂全套白制服….幾有Master既feel！)，所以球車可以上球道但可惜球道上的距離指示牌不多，想清楚了解碼數最好在落球車前Check下GPS或出場前去proshop買本yardage book。
球場設計及趣味性
Wadi同Majlis一樣都屬沙漠區，所以球場會較平坦，上落差距不大，難度主要在於水、沙池……同沙漠，Wadi就比Majlis多D水，的fairway比Majlis狹窄D、果嶺亦較多斜度…..打落有D似深圳高爾夫球會，不過呢處既Fairway bunkers的設計就較特別起哂”牙”睇落幾得人驚好在greenside bunkers就正常。
開波之前望下張計分咭，嘩，藍tee成6,900碼！但白tee又只得6,139碼……唔多夠喉，最後唯有頂硬上，6,900就6,900啦，點知打落發覺D球道雖然真係好長但偏硬所以開波落地之後會滾好遠，而果嶺就較軟，高波落會有ball mark同停低(同電視睇PGA的球場set up一樣，而廣東省大部份球場就反轉，球道軟、果嶺硬)。場中仲有紅綠燈指揮交通。

The opening hole is fairly long and quite intimating because of a hugh waste area in front of the tee box. The approach needs to carry another waste area to an elevated green with water on the right. Bet you’re glad you warmed up on the range first!

A long par-3 with water on the right.

A ‘straight forward’ looking par-5. More water on the right.

This is a short dogleg right with water on the right all the way to the green. Some fairly hideous real estate catches the eye here.

Par-5. Lots of water, lots of sand. Avoid both.

A long par-4 that doglegs slightly to the left. Need to carry the bunker on the left or play short of it. Green is elevated and surrounded by bunkers…needless to say, this is a tough hole.

A dogleg right with a narrow landing area.

The shortest hole on the course. Two big bunkers on the front and left. Long is better than short here.

Longer hitters need to be careful here as the fairway runs out at about 260 yards. Second must be played over water to a fairly receptive green. Short, sweet and number 18 on the stroke index.

An extremely long par-4. Bogey is never bad.

Straightaway par-4 with waste areas on both sides of the fairway.

A short par-3 but not that easy…..need to carry water and bunkers to a very narrow green.

A fairly long par-5. It’ll take three good blows to reach this green in regulation.

A very interesting hole. Waste area on the right side of the fairway and part the green is hidden behind a small mound. Water comes into play short right of the putting surface.

This hole reminds me of the Shenzhen Golf Club. The green is elevated and well protected by bunkers.

Another long par-5. The tee shot is straight forward but need to watch out on the second shot as water on the right is in play.

This is a bit of a monster par-3. When we played the wind was against…almost impossible to hit the green.

No let-up on the closing hole. Trouble everywhere, but you should be fully warmed up by now. Good hole.

同一個球會但Wadi就冇Majlis咁出名，由Nick Faldo改的設計將球道加上更大的挑戰性會否提升Wadi成為另一個國際級球場呢？ 遲D就會知…….但由於打波期間有部份球道仍在改建中，所以綠化及觀景未算太理想，相信要在07年先會達一級水平，不過現時仍有幾個特別球道如#13同#14，打完可以回味一下，暫時俾住Birdie。11/06
