Course Design
Govenor’s nine is built on undulating terrain, and a couple of holes with huge change of elevation. The layout consists of sharp doglegs, semi island green, straight hole. Landing area are reasonably tight (not crazy narrow) with well positioned bunkers. Few water hazards can be found on a couple of holes.

Governor Course
-
Downslope straight hole, hardly find any hazards, just make sure don’t overhit the green
-
A beautiful Par 3
-
Sharp dogleg right, a tree stand alone in the middle of fairway???
-
Straight upslope hole, play longer than the distance marked.
-
Upslope again, this time even longer .
-
Huge drop of elevation, big dogleg left with water cut through the fairway on the left. Then slightly upslope straight to the green.
-
Straight Par 5 , the fairway runs slightly upslope to the green
-
Scenic, isn’t it! Tight entry but there is plenty of room around the green.
-
Downslope tee shot, approaching need to carry over water
007’s Rating
Perhaps you may already noticed that this review is incompeleted. No, it isn’t, and infact I didn’t have a chance to play it due to tight itinerary but managed to have a quick glance of this Governor’s nine.
AK is the oldest course in Meleka with more than 40 years history. The setting is second to none. Natural and mature surroundings. Some trees are with 5 -6 storey high (impressive) and not difficult to see small animals such as monkeys, squirrels jumping around.
The setup is interesting but not beginners’ type forgiving. Remember to bring extra balls.
If by chance you come to Melaka, this is a must play course.
