Introduction

The club is located at the outer area of Guangzhou. From Shenzhen, it takes around one hour forty minutes ride to get there.

Club Facilities & Service

New clubhouse is in use and far better than the old one. Reception, proshop, a nice and spacious restaurant, huge locker room is provided. Services are above average.

Fairway & Green maintenance

The condition is average. Some construction works can be seen and may affect the views.GZInternational-Green

Caddy Service & knowledge

Except the poorer understanding of the line of putts. They are knowledgeable of the course with accurate yardage, polite & very eager to find your lost balls even deep in the woods……

Course Design

GZInternational-Design

The blue tee is a respectable 6,553 yards….but fortunately most fairways (perhaps, except 17th & 18th) are very generous with limited bunkers & water hazards – Unless your drives are way out, the course is not that difficult to play.

The course has a nice mixture of fairway design, good long straight fairways, doglegs & some with water hazards, making the course fairly interesting as you play along.

This is a walking course but there are not many up & down hill so even in the mid of Summer, I found it very walker friendly.

Some of the greens are very difficult with big slopes & undulations – need to be careful as a small error will cost you dearly.

Apart from a tighter landing area of the tee shot, this is a fairly simple opening hole.
    GZInternational-H1-3 GZInternational-H1-2

  • GZInternational-H2-1
You’ll need to land the ball at the turn of the dogleg which is guarded by two fairway bunkers on either side.
The approach is up hill with a sloppy green towards the fairway.

Downslope Par 3 with water on right and back.

  • GZInternational-H4-1

The landing area of the downhill tee shot is filled with bunkers, the ideal shot is a cut.

Dogleg right, peninsula green which require carry over water.
    GZInternational-H6-4 GZInternational-H6-3 GZInternational-H6-2

  • GZInternational-H7-1Lots of fairway bunkers on the right, the worse bunker is on the left of the green. Don’t get it there – it’s deep & hard to get out.

  • GZInternational-H8-1

    Downslope Par 3.

    GZInternational-H8-2

  • GZInternational-H9-1
A very tempting shot to carry the water (230 yards) & an “easy” 2nd will follow to the green on this short par 5.

Shorter hitters should go to the left with the tee shot.

  • GZInternational-H10-1
A very simple & generous fairway but the approach to the green is blocked by a tree.

  • GZInternational-H11-1

    Tight landing area. Upslope approaching.

Mid range whole carry Par 3

  • GZInternational-H13-1

A lii tle down hill but long & straight par 4.

The bunker you see on the right shuoldn’t be in play.
    GZInternational-H13-3 GZInternational-H13-2

  • GZInternational-H14-1A short par 5, time to get your driver out & take the chance to reach in 2 for an Eagle.

  • GZInternational-H15-1
    Tough long Par 3

    GZInternational-H15-2

  • GZInternational-H16-1

This is one of the harder hole, it’s dogleg left with rough on both side of the landing area.

If your tee shot is short or on the wrong side, the 2nd will be very difficult.
    GZInternational-H16-3 GZInternational-H16-2

  • GZInternational-H17-1

The fairway is hidden from the tee, consult with your caddy where you need to aim as there are some fairway bunkers in the middle of your landing area.

The 2nd shot will be going down hill.

  • GZInternational-H18-1
The tee will be going down hill, the accuracy of the 2nd is very Important to land on the semi-island green.ch shot.
