Club Facilities / Score Card – Lychee ,Valley ,Lake
Introduction
The club is near Houjie, Dongguan City, taxi from Huanggang would take about an hour & about 250 RMB, Lowu may take a little longer & more.
Club Facilities & Service
This club is for member & guests only so I never had a chance to play until I met a gentleman from our society who is a member there.
The club is well quipped & nicely decorated, service of the staff was also courteous.
Fairway & Green maintenance
Very nicely maintained .
Caddy Service & knowledge
So so, knowledge of the course was quite good but not very willing to find my lost balls.
Course Design
This is a 27 holes course which is divided into 3 combinations & I played from the 6,464 yards blue tee of Lychee course (1st -9th & 19th – 27th).
The course is built on a relatively flat piece of land with not much up & down hill so walking around without cart wasn’t a problem. Some of the holes are nicely design such as the interesting 5th hole & 23rd par 5.
To sum up, the 1 – 9th played a bit harder than the back as there are more water hazards & more sloppy greens
As to the landscaping, I think the back 9 was much more interesting & scenic with the view of the lake than the front 9 which overlook some of the old building

-
Medium range par 4, the 2nd needs to carry some water.
-
There are bunkers & rough on the right side, should aim to the left.
A very narrow neck to the green too.
-
An elevated green, have to land soft.
-
Water is the right side all the way to the green.
Also bunkers on the left of fairway.
-
Use your mid iron or wood for position.
The green here is tiny.
-
Use a longer club on this as short is no good (bunkers are on the front portion of the green.
-
The tee shot is going gently down slope and going back up on the 2nd.
-
Another down slope and the 2nd going up.
-
Long par 4, the 2nd will need to carry some channel.
-
A short par 5, this can be reached with two nice shots.
-
Going gentlly up slope, if you are short, the 2nd will be blind.
-
A small dogleg left, going down slope & back up.
-
A downhill par 3.
-
This is one of the nicest hole.
The fairway is divided into 2 portions & you will need to carry each shot the the right fairway.
-
Need to carry all the way to the green on this green.
Aim left is a safer option.
-
A long par 4, need a good drive to par.
-
Water & fairway bunker on the right.
-
Water in front, the 2nd will need to carry the some channel too.
