Introduction
The club is fairly easy to get to being located just at edge of Dongguan near Shenzhen. Taxi from Huanggang to the club would take about 40′ & cost around 140 – 150 RMB.
The club only entertains members & guest or possibly with a golf society.
Club Facilities & Service
The club is well equipped & maintained, service was nice & attentive but the quality of food at the cafe was disappointing.
Fairway & Green maintenance
The fairways were in great shape this time around but most of the greens were quite nice too but a few of them were in pretty bad condition .
The surrounding & landscaping are very nice & very picturesque, there are countless amount of beautiful flowers beds along the fairways & around the tees, the surrounding of the course was also , if not for the lamp posts dotted along the fairways (for night golf), it could well be up there with my personal favourite Agile Golf Club!
Caddy Service & knowledge
I am not sure about my one as she really didn’t speak much during the round but the one my buddy had was really nice and attentive, however, the knowledge of the course were just both average.
Course Design
The view is very pleasing; design of the all three courses are interesting with a right mix of bunkers, water hazards are all at the right place (if you know what I mean ), fairways are reasonably generous & just the right amount of dogleg turns to make your round more interesting.

E1 – par 4, index 7
Gold tee 447, blue 413, white 373 & red 339 yards.A downhill tee shot and going back up on the second.
-
E2 – par 4, index 9
Gold tee 409, blue 381, white 350 & red 318 yards. -
E3 – par 5, index 1
Gold tee 568, blue 553, white 532 & red 452 yards. This is my favorite, reachable in two if you lean your tee shot to the right despite the 553 yards from the blue tee.
-
E4 – par 3, index 15
Gold tee 164, blue 145, white 130 & red 120 yards.A narrow green across the water but shouldn’t be too difficult due to its length.
-
E5 – par 4, index 11
Gold tee 383, blue 368, white 282 & red 265 yards.Slightly uphill with a bit of water just in front of the tee.
-
E6 – par 3, index 17
Gold tee 189, blue 168, white 149 & red 125 yards.A simple & straght forward par 3.
-
E7 – par 4, index 13
Gold tee 365, blue 332, white 313 & red 268 yards.Need to carry or stop short of the bunkers ahead if you need to par this one.
-
E8 – par 4, index 5
Gold tee 424, blue 411, white 396 & red 363 yards.A beautiful dogleg left, but watch out for the approach shot, left to the green is a good option as water hazard is on right of the green. (Learned my lesion here as approach with a 5 iron went to the right and ended up into the water, the caddy should have warned me …..
-
E9 – par 5, index 3
Gold tee 556, blue 540, white 520 & red 497 yards.A lovely par 5 with very nice landscaping.
-
W1 – par 4, index 17
Gold tee 341, blue 331, white 288 & red 260 yards.A short par 4 with shape like a ” 7 ” with water & bunker going all the way the to green.
-
W2 – par 3, index 13
Gold tee 152, blue 138, white 125 & red 114 yards.This par 3 is shaped like a ” > ” with water the left again.
-
W3 – par 5, index 7
Gold tee 509, blue 492, white 486 & red 456 yards. This is very reachable in two, just be careful with your fairway wood or long iron on the approach as water is on the left and behind the green.
-
W4 – par 3, index 11
Gold tee 175, blue 150, white 132 & red 111 yards.
-
W5 – par 4, index 1
Gold tee 452, blue 424, white 407 & red 375 yards.A long par 4 with a tight landing area as there are bunkers on both side of the fairway..
-
W6 – par 4, index 15
Gold tee 343, blue 324, white 302 & red 278 yards.
Another tricky par 4 with bunkers in the middle to catch your tee shot. -
W7 – par 5, index 5
Gold tee 506, blue 468, white 440 & red 414 yards.A short par 5 that swings to the right, the second will be going up hill making it a little bit longer.
-
W8 – par 4, index 9
Gold tee 444, blue 422, white 392 & red 345 yards.Going downhill on this narrower fairway, avoid the big bunker on the left and you will par his one.
-
W9 – par 4, index 3
Gold tee 420, blue 384, white 326 & red 292 yards.A nice finishing hole if you don’t do what I did…. tee shot went to the left and in the rough!
Lean to right and you will open up the green, left will be a blind approach and with bunkers in front guarding the green.
-
The North starts with a nice short par 5, the tee shot is downslope but you need to watch the fairway bunkers catching the wayward tee shot making it harder to reach the slight upslope & elevated green.
-
This is a little dogleg left, upslope all the way.
A front right bunker is guarding the green.
-
Upslope par 3, have to short & right (left are bunkers & too long will be in deep rough).
The green is sloping from back to front.
-
A tough one with an index 2 , landing area is tight & narrow, the 2nd will need to carry a channel running through the fairway with an elevated green well protected by front bunkers.
-
This is a big downhill par 4 with a hugh turn to the left, see the well positioned bunker on in the middle?
2nd is a slight upslope approach with a big right front bunker.
-
A simple (it’s never easy?) downhill par 3, as you can see better short & left than long & right, right?
-
This couldn’t be index 8, could it? A very narrow landing area indeed.
If you play it short of the bunker, the 2nd will be very tough to the elevated green & stop the ball, if you take a driver, you have to be very accurate to land it on the tight fairway….
-
A long downhill par 5 which turns to the right.
Water is on the left & is play if you tee shot is long enough.
-
The last one on the 9 is long slightly downslope par 4.
The 2nd is going back up the slope.
007’s Rating
The condition of the greens have improved quite a bit since my last time, the layout is interesting and the view is nice. If you have a chance to play, take it.
