Introduction
A very familiar name – Mission Hills, do they have any relationship with the one in China, the answer is yes & no, the owner here was also one of the founders of Mission Hills Golf Resort, China. Even the Logo looks the same but the club has nothing to do with the China one.
The club opened at 2004 and is the newest one in Phuket.
Around 15 mins from the airport and 20 mins from Phuket Town.
Club Facilities & Service
The Thai Style is probably the best in Phuket, nice interior design, very nice & comfortable, variety golf products at the Proshop, excellent indoor and outdoor restaurant(1, 2), the changing room(1, 2, 3) is good enough though not huge.
Club also provides 5 stars hotel services(1, 2, 3, 4), elegant rooms(1, 2) & adequate facilities(1, 2, 3) with good service .
Fairway & Green maintenance
Fairways were good but can be better, greens(1, 2) were in excellent shape though.
Caddy Service & knowledge
Acceptable, could be better.
Course Design
You will find a lot of waste bunkers(1, 2) here, not much water but plenty of shallow bunkers, combination of wide and tight fairways, short and long, doglegs, island green, little elevation. As a whole, not great but quite interesting to play.

-
Aim a bit left for the tee shot in order to have the best approaching angle to the green

Tight fairway, OB on the right, narrow entrance to the green.

The whole green is surround by an enormous waste bunker.

Uphill left dogleg, left OB
-
Dogleg left, front left water protects the green and plently of small bunkers around.
-
Dogleg left, a big bunker lies on the left of the green.
-
Par 3 with a slightly elevated green with bunkers on both side.
-
Longest Par 4, dogleg left, the right side of the green is water.
-
Long and plenty of sand, fortunately, bunkers are shallow.
-
Short Par4, right water, elevated green
-
A short Par 5 with hazards on both sides, not difficult to get a par if choose to play conservative.
-
Par 3, stay clear of the bunker on the right…it is deep.

007’s Rating
Excellent Clubhouse & hotel (the rooms are very, very nice), gorgeous envirnoment and very relaxing atmosphere.
Good and warm services, you will see a lot of smile everywhere. The most impressive is when I finished front nine, and passed through the clubhouse, a nice lady offered us a glass of ice water and cold tower to refresh.
Very good course maintainence, interesting layout, breath taking holes by the sea, you will also see a lot of rubber trees(1, 2) planted inside the course.
I was told another mountain 9 holes (with lightling) is under construction & looking forward to playing there.
