Review Summary:

Take a look to the scorecard, Oh my God, it is over 6800 yards from the blue tee, no thanks, better move back to the white. Hangon, there are two distance from the white, one is 6500 and the other is 6100. Ok, whatever, just play it. I soon realized I was playing a combined white tee and it is about 6300 yards long.

Introduction

The newest development from Hainan Airline Company after HNA Resort Kangle Garden & Kangle Spa & Golf Club, the club opened at May 2005.
Abour One hour and 15 mins drive from Sanya Pheonix International Airport

Club Facilities & Service

It takes about 2 mins drive to the temporary clubhouse . From what I’d seen, the clubhouse is not big. I didnt have a chance to see it because the course was meant to be closed for maintainence. Thanks to Mr Liang, the General Manager for the special arrangement so that we could test play and finish this report.

Fairway & Green maintenance

Mr Liang already told us that he is not satisfied with the present conditions and started the enhancement. But from what I’d seen, it is in very good shape, well above average. It is true if comparing with the Kangle Spa & Golf club.

Caddy Service & knowledge

Appreciated the good indications from my caddie, otherwise, I would have torn my scorecard. 🙂

Course Design

Front nine is relatively flat, wide fairways, large greens, quite generous, but warn you, this is a trap ! Once you turn to back nine, you need to be very concentrate, a lot of elevation, long carry over water and creek, lot of bunkers and water in play, tight fairways, small greens, blind shots, you name it, they have it. Having said that, thanks to the designer’s effort and good arrangement to make this memorable and enjoyable game.
Overall, the difficulty is just about right for leisure golfers but it could be worser when the wind roar.

As I said before, the course conditions is well above average and the design is interesting and full of surprises.
During the play, I saw the new course , and very likely to be opened on schedule.
