Review Summary:

A very typical Jack's design but this time fairways are not like football pitch wide. Waste bunker can only be found in #16. Like most Jack's course, bunkers play major role and well defense those greens. Blue tee measure over 6600 yards, a bit long for leisure golfers. ....

Introduction

Club Facilities & Service

The Country Club is huge, you will find all sort of facilities(1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8) here like badminton, squash, basketball, gym, pool, indoor swimming pool, bowling. Spa treatment is also available. Apart from this , restaurant, proshop, changing room(1, 2) with jaccuzi can also be found here.

Fairway & Green maintenance

EmpireHCC-Condition
Good quality from tee to green. Green is soft and a bit on fast side.

Course Design

The course is built inside a piece of woodlands with undulating terrain. Water doesn’t play a major role but sand traps are quite nasty. Every greens are well guarded by these demons to penalise a not so “good shot”. Fairways running through these woodlands and turn to seaside on #15 & #16. In general, fairways are generous except #18. Greens are not that “roller coaster” type.

Mature and dense forest surrounded the course, very beautiful indeed. Due to the bad weather during my stay, the signature #16 doesnt looks so nice as it should be.
There ain’y caddie here, but carts are allow on fairways.
Well above average on all aspect. Worth to play

Frankly speaking, I’m more impressed by the Empire Hotel, Highly reccommend!Probably one of the best in Asia.
