There’s no doubting this is a great driver and geared towads the better player. Maybe not for the masses as you need a high swing speed to get the best out of it but it is now 3 generations old (R11, R11s, R1) and I just picked up an R11s that has only seen a couple of rounds for $1,500.
Unfortunately, people don’t understand that just because you haven’t hit it isn’t going to stop the price falling on it. I’ve seen countless used drivers on here that are one or two generations old that are almost the same price as what you can pick the currnet generation up for off the rack.
Putters can be actually slightly different in that sense especially for some of the Scotty Camerons, Bettinardis, Byron Morgans etc as they do tend to be more collectors for that sort of thing – but if it is a collectors item at least look after it and get rid of the damn rust. -
I have an R11 TP 3-wood shaft for sale, it just doesn’t have the adapter on it. You can get one installed at any good club fitting store in Hong Kong for a good price. Fujikura Blur 70G asking $400.

Plenty of new ones here for that price as well – http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=mizuno+mp30&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313&_nkw=taylormade+r1&_sacat=0″ onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false;

If you are looking for getting fitted for Japanese Clubs then I would recommend you to go and see Ron at Golf Work Studio in Wan Chai. He’s a Master Clubfitter and it is just him in his shop, not one of the big high street shops where it is a struggle to get a proper fitting.
You should definitely check him out as you will get a much more personalised experience.

Thanks all for the great feedback. I went to see Ronald at Golf Work Studio in Wan Chai.He is a very knowledgable man and also very helpful. He instantly picked up on a lot of things that I did not even see or expect. The shafts were too heavy for the spec that they were, the finish was poor compared to the real deal and even the tip was too big (larger than 0.370 inches) so would unlikely fit in an iron head without re-boring the hosel.
I couldn’t recommend Ronald highly enough and suggest if you have any work needing to be done to your clubs to at least talk to him and his experience and knowledge is extensive. I will be going to him a lot in the future.
